Casio Women's Watch BG180DM-2B Review

Casio Women's Watch BG180DM-2B
Average Reviews:

This is a large and thick watch, OK for sports/casual if you can get used to the bulk. The metal bezel is a step up from the cheap plastic Baby G's & Timex Ironman, etc. Easy to read as a previous reviewer stated. Buttons are recessed so a little challenging to set. My main complaint is if you think the watch is large, the band is HUMONGOUS. The description claims it's a cloth band but it is leather(?) on the inside, stiff & thick & doesn't breathe. I ordered a 3/4 inch nylon band which you can thread through after you cut their band off. Seems to be working well so far.

Decidedly contemporary in looks with sleek, straight modern lines, this Casio Baby-G women's digital watch (model BG180-1V) also offers powerful sports timekeeping features. It features a durable black resin case that's topped by a square silver top ring. This shock-resistant timepiece is a great companion for your active lifestyle, offering a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 60-minute measuring capacity and elapsed time, split time, and 1st/2nd place time modes as well as a 24-hour countdown timer. This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), suitable for recreational snorkeling. It also offers such timekeeping functions as 12/24-hour formats, multi-function alarm, and year/month/date/day display (with an autocalendar to the year 2039). Other features include scratch-resistant mineral crystal, AfterGlow LED electro-luminescent backlight, and battery life of up to 2 years. History of G-Shock: In 1983, Casio launched the shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch. This product shattered the notion that a watch is a fragile piece of jewelry that needs to be handled with care, and was the result of Casio engineers taking on the challenge of creating the worlds toughest watch. Using a triple-protection design for the parts, module, and case, the G-SHOCK offered a radical new type of watch that was unaffected by strong impacts or shaking. Its practicality was immediately recognized, and its unique look, which embodied its functionality, became wildly popular, resulting in explosive sales in the early 1990s. The G-SHOCK soon adopted various new sensors, solar-powered radio-controlled technology (described below), and new materials for even better durability. By always employing the latest technology, and continuing to transcend conventional thinking about the watch, the G-SHOCK brand has become Casios flagship timepiece product.

Casio General Men's Watches Edifice Chronograph EF-503D-7AVDF - WW Review

This is a fantastic timepiece, nothing at all to envy to swatch or other, quality is easy to see, this is not a simple crap.
Pros: Chronograph easy to use, very tough, looks really good in stetic terms, can be used as a dress watch but also like semi sport, instructions are very clear.
Cons: sometimes could be a little heavy, although hands have their own green glow a backlight o neon light just like casio edifice EFL-108 would have been very much apreciated.
i have nothing to say about this, i mean nothing bad, this is one of the best watches i've ever had, there are some points to correct to make it the perfect watch, but come on, nothing is perfect and this is a really good piece.

Casio Men's G7700-1 G-Shock Trainer Multi-Function Shock Resistant Watch Review

Casio Men's G7700-1 G-Shock Trainer Multi-Function Shock Resistant Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this watch a week ago at an unbeatable price of $47 incl. tax and shipping (almost 50% off the RRP). What I wanted was a watch that was useful for athletic training (I'm an avid runner and swimmer). What I received was a superb well-rounded G-Shock that surpassed my expectations regarding the purpose of the watch, one that has several unique features that other G-Shocks presently do not feature:
*1/1000 stopwatch with split and 999 lap time functions--perfect for athletic training, getting splits etc. while running or swimming.
*Auto-start feature--a 5 second countdown prior to starting the stopwatch, with cool animated graphics.
*2 100-hour countdown timers, adjustable to the second--ideal for interval training on long runs.
*Customizable alarms for weekend and weekday--great for people like me who have to wake up at 7am on weekdays and noon on weekends without having to constantly switch on/off different alarms.
*Customizable hourly signal--set it so that it only beeps on the hour during any specified period (ie. 7am-11pm), so that it doesn't beep while sleeping.
*Flash alert--red and green LEDs go off in sync with the alarms and stopwatch auto-start systems. With the stopwatch auto-start, the LEDs are employed to create a cool motor races effect by having red lights going off in sync with the countdown and green lights going off at the start itself.
Other features of the watch:
*World time in 48 cities--48 cities is new for me, previous G-Shocks only had 27 or so, perfect for frequent travelers like me.
*EL backlight (blue-green) with auto-EL function.
*A very comfortable strap with good fit, and a thin case (by G-Shock standards) makes for one of the most easy-to-wear G-Shocks ever.
*Buttons are extremely easy to push. Some users have complained that the "G" button on the front of the watch, which activates the EL backlight, is hard to press; that wasn't the case for me.
Some cons:
*EL backlight duration (1 second)--too short for me, especially on a display with so much information, presumably to increase battery life. 2 or 3 seconds would be ideal.
*Non-solar powered--given all the power-hungry features of this watch, solar power would be ideal, so as not to worry about running down the batteries with all the alarms, lights and all.
However, these are minor issues. I'm sure this watch would suit anyone out there--by far one of the most feature-packed yet comfortable-to-wear and stylish G-Shocks out there, perfect for any occasion.

Casio Men's AMW340-1A Analog Diver Resin Strap Watch Review

Casio Men's AMW340-1A Analog Diver Resin Strap Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a smaller sized diving watch. It is not too small, though. It is actually nice sized, and reasonably lightweight. The LCD screen is actually larger than the one on Casio's classic large face dive watch (AMW 320). The improvements that would be great for this watch would be some kind of illumination of either the actual face (and sweep hands), or the LCD screen. The sweep hands are luminous, as good as any Casio luminous hands. Another improvement would be a better positioning of the AM/PM designation in the LCD screen, which is nearly impossible to read because it is postioned so high. To overcome this lack, when setting an alarm, you can toggle to 24 hour time to make sure your 6AM is AM indeed. Another feature I would personally have liked (which is the only reason I returned the watch) is a countdown timer. The LCD format does not have that one feature, which I happen to use frequently. Bottom line: Great watch if you're OK without a countdown timer and without illumination.

Casio Men's Analog Watch Watch with Databank Model AW-81D-7AV

I looked at a lot of watches and this looked like exactly what I wanted. And when I got it I found that it was!! And the price is too good to believe. I had to adjust the watch band and that was a hassle until I figured out how to do it. No instructions for this in the manual. Look on the Internet under adjusting Casio watch bands and use a VERY small jeweler's screwdriver.

Casio Men's MDV102-1AV Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch Review

Casio Men's MDV102-1AV Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great looking sports watch, and the light is really bright - it's a white LED both at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, so it allows for nice visibility in low light. The stainless steel case is nicely polished and looks very sharp. This watch really looks more expensive than it is, and I've had people ask about it when wearing it. It's an eye catching watch.
The MDV102-1AV is 200m water resistant, which means it can handle you going swimming, snorkeling, even some diving without much problem. This watch has a screw-down crown too, which makes it even more water resistant. The only thing to watch out for is washing the dishes, hot tubbing, or showering with it - warm/hot water isn't great for watertight seals on watches. I've heard it can weaken the seals and cause a leak.
The little marlin on the watch is a great touch, and the face is very easy to read. The white markers contrast really well with the black dial, and even have a mirror-like edge to them, which makes the markers stand out even more. The offset date at 4 o'clock makes it look interesting, too.
My only disappointment was the band - it's a hard rubbery band and not very comfortable. That's why I took off one star from my rating. Aside from the band this watch really rocks! To solve that, I bought a Timex Expedition Adjustable 16-20mm watch strap TX977761L, Timex watchband, Fast - Wrap Expedition, 16-20mm, Black, Adjustable, Long. It's for a Timex Expedition, so it says Timex on it, but it's a great velcro strap that's really easy to adjust and install on the Casio.
If you decide you want to change straps like me, just pop out the strap that comes with the Casio, pull out and save the little springs, then attach the Casio (using it's springs) to the Timex strap. Took 3 minutes and I love the adjustable Timex strap, it's very comfortable and dries out easily when it's gotten wet.
I definitely recommend this watch. It's well worth the money for the water resistance, and looks really nice!

This Casio Sea analog illuminator watch offers all the convenience and durability of a sports watch, with an adaptable style well suited for a work day. The large round dial is black with white and luminous indexes, two luminous hands, and a red arrow-tipped seconds hand. The black stainless steel bezel offers additional Arabic numeral and dot indexes and a one-way rotation to make timing easy. The bezel's distinctive cog-like edge also gives the watch a stylishly industrial edge. The date displays subtly at four o'clock, and a super illuminator light makes the watch easy to read at any time. The band is made out of rugged black resin with a buckle clasp. This analog quartz powered timepiece is water resistant up to 660 feet (200 meters) and offers a battery life of approximately three years.

Casio Men's AW590-1A G-Shock Ana-Digi Chronograph Sport Watch Review

Casio Men's AW590-1A G-Shock Ana-Digi Chronograph Sport Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I spent some time researching every G-Shock offered by Casio and narrowed it down to the AW590-1A for several reasons.
-> I prefer traditional battery over Tough Solar. I have read numerous negative reviews about the rechargable batteries giving out anywhere from 1-5 years and in the end are very difficult to replace.
-> This watch uses a larger CR1220 battery which Casio estimates will last about 3 years and is easily replaceable.
-> The AW590-1A uses round metal buttons, and not the cheaper rectangular plastic ones on some other G-Shocks, which can get "squeaky" and wear out.
Now on to the watch itself. You need to set the analog time separate from the digital, however they do sync up perfectly once both are set. The analog minute hand moves every 20 seconds and seems very refined.
The top led bar simply ticks off every 10 seconds while the left circle shows numeric seconds. The bottom circle shows whether certain functions are activated, like DST, alarm, snooze, hourly signal and split time in the stop watch function. The left circle does the most: in normal time mode it can be toggled to show month/date, day of the week or digital time. It has a nice resolution and also serves as the stopwatch and countdown timer.
World time is cool as only the left circle changes to show you the digital time in another time zone, while the analog stays in your home zone, allowing you to compare times instantly.
The watch has a whopping five separate alarms, one of which has a snooze function. I don't find the need to have that many alarms but some may find it useful. Countdown and stopwatch are nothing special, pretty much what you expect.
There is also an Auto LED feature which I find an unnecessary battery drainer. Once enabled, a quick upward motion of the wrist automatically causes the light to come on. I found that you can quite often set the light off unintentionally. Luckily you can disable this feature.
The physical dimensions of the watch are a good combination of form and function. The mineral crystal face is recessed nicely and protected well but still offers a clear view with a quick glance.
Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this watch to anyone who genuinely appreciates Casio's G-Shock line watches.
