The features in this watch are exactly what is required if you travel globally like me. The 3 time zones which can be set in this watch is a nice feature. The backlight is adequate and the alarm is loud enough to wake you up. The only reason i didnt give this watch a 5 is beacuse of the strap. Though a nylon strap feels good, its not my preferred choice.
But you can always replace the strap to any material you want afterwards, which i intend to do. Timex watches are always known for their long battery life and this watch doesnt dissapoint. I recommend this watch to anyone who likes adventure gear.

Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles--as well as the rigors of harsh urban landscapes--the full-sized Timex analog/digital men's watch (model 45181) adds a stylish yet rugged complement to your everyday wear. It features a large olive resin watch case that's topped by a olive bi-directional rotating bezel with black elapsed time markings. The brown dial includes large stick markers, arrow-tipped luminous hands (with red seconds hand), and small minute indexes. It also features a digital window at the bottom of the dial, which offers the ability to track three time zones, a 24-hour chronograph (with lap/split option), 24-hour countdown timer, and an alarm. Other features include a comfortable brown nylon Fast Wrap strap (with buckle clasp) and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet).
The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Timex Men's T41711 Expedition Analog Camper Watch Review

Let's face it, this is just a very cool watch. I mean, just look at it. Straight-forward, no-nonsense, and easy to read. Nothing techno-geeky about it.
Timex produces a number of such watches that are an ideal choice for outdoor activities. They are durable, resistant to the elements, and if they are lost it's no big deal. And is anyone going to rob you for a watch that costs less than $30? If they do, so what? Something to keep in mind if you do a lot of travelling.
On the practical side, I find nylon and leather watches straps to be far more comfortable than metal-link bands under most situations. Particularly when out all day in the sun.
There is a time and a place for watches that are essentially jewelry. But when travelling or in the outdoors it's nice to have a watch that is comfortable, absolutely dependable, and something you're not at all worried about.
