As an absented minded hearing impaired person now doing more of the household cooking, I've been burning dinner not hearing the stove timer. The timer function with vibration alarm has solved this problem! Now I read, attend to other projects or just daydream without worry. The alarm function is great too. I can set the alarm for waking without concern for waking my wife or slip out to finish sleeping on the couch without worry about missing my alarm. I've not managed to sleep through the alarm yet, though as I'm not a deep sleeper I don't know how this would work for someone who is.
The watch is large and fairly ugly so I don't wear it unless I need the timing and alarm functions--which I'm finding is quite often.
